The Fairfield Police Station, located in the heart of Fairfield, serves as a vital hub for community safety and law enforcement activities.

This state-of-the-art facility required significant upgrades to meet modern operational demands and improve energy efficiency across its infrastructure, ensuring a secure environment for both staff and visitors.

New Power Electrics was selected as the preferred electrical contractor due to our proven track record in delivering tailored electrical solutions for complex projects. Our early involvement was crucial as it allowed us to collaborate closely with architects and engineers to develop a comprehensive electrical design that aligns with the project’s objectives and regulatory requirements.

Our scope of work included the complete overhaul of the existing electrical systems, ensuring they meet contemporary standards of reliability and efficiency. This involved detailed planning and the integration of advanced electrical technologies to enhance the facility’s operational capabilities.

Initial stage:

• Safe disconnection and decommissioning of outdated electrical systems.

Electrical Infrastructure:

• Installation of a new electrical supply system directly linked to the regional grid.
• Construction of a robust outdoor main switchboard with precise metering capabilities.
• Extensive underground cabling and conduit work, featuring over 900 meters of trenching and 6 kilometers of conduit/cabling.
• Establishment of a primary distribution board to streamline power management.

Lighting Systems and Power Distribution:

• Implementation of a cutting-edge Dali Lighting control system for optimized energy usage.
• Provision of dedicated power feeds to critical areas, including the holding cells and administrative sectors.
• Comprehensive lux level assessments to ensure optimal lighting conditions throughout the facility.

Structural Installation and Documentation:

• Erection and installation of high-performance lighting poles, varying in height to accommodate diverse lighting needs.
• Supply of detailed technical drawings to facilitate future maintenance and upgrades.
