About the project:
Pro Line Steel is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the production and innovation of steel products. Located in Sydney, the project underscores a significant investment in the region’s industrial capabilities. Designed to enhance productivity and streamline operations, Pro Line Steel stands as a beacon of modern engineering.
The project required a comprehensive overhaul of the existing electrical systems to support the advanced manufacturing processes and machinery integral to the facility’s operations.
How did New Power Electrics get involved?
New Power Electrics (NPE) was selected to spearhead the electrical transformation at Pro Line Steel due to our proven track record in delivering robust and efficient electrical solutions for commercial and industrial projects. Our involvement commenced from the project’s inception, allowing us to tailor our services to meet the specific needs of Pro Line Steel.
We provided a full scope of electrical design and implementation, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the infrastructure met both current demands and future growth.
What we delivered:
Initial stage:
- Comprehensive assessment and disconnection of outdated electrical systems.
Electrical Infrastructure:
- Installation of a new electrical grid connection with high-capacity capabilities.
- Construction of an external freestanding main switchboard equipped with advanced metering technology.
- Extensive underground conduit and cabling network, comprising over 1km of trenching and 6km of wiring.
Lighting Systems and Power Distribution:
- Implementation of a cutting-edge DALI lighting control system to optimize energy efficiency.
- Full power integration for all manufacturing units and ancillary buildings.
- Precision lighting design to ensure suitable lux levels for industrial operations.
Structural Installation and Documentation:
- On-site assembly and installation of lighting and power poles, ranging from 10m to 30m in height to accommodate diverse operational needs.
- Detailed documentation and comprehensive technical drawings capturing all electrical installations for future maintenance and upgrades.
